Special Informational Event: The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum Archives, CKS Library and Collections, and CKS’s Summer Fellowship Program

The Center for Khmer Studies (CKS) and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum invite students, researchers, and faculty to a special three-part event on December 15, 2022, from 8:00 -11:00 AM at the CKS Conference Hall, Siem Reap. Please note all sessions will be in Khmer.

1. Orientation of CKS Library Collections and Services

Visitors are invited to learn about CKS’s extensive physical and digital collections and learn about the many services offered by our library.

2. Informational Session of CKS Junior Resident Fellows Program (JRFP)

In this session, you will learn about our exciting 2023 summer Junior Resident Fellows programs including, eligibility, funding, how to apply, and the program activities.

JRFP is a six-week Cambodian Studies program open to upper-undergraduate students or recently graduated university students from Cambodia, France, and the United States.

3. Introducing the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum Archives

In this session, TSGM’s archivist will share the many features of the TSGM Archive and how to use it. The TSGM Archives contain thousands of documents, including prisoner photographs, Khmer Rouge notebooks, lists, revolutionary magazines, biographies, and other documents connected to the prison and the Khmer Rouge regime.
