Continuing our Digital Libraries series, this year’s workshop entitled “Enhancing Information Access in Digital Libraries” focuses on strategies for enhancing information access in Digital libraries with an emphasis on Collection Development and Management/Electronic Resources Acquisition, Community Engagement, and Evaluating Digital Resources.
Our ambition is to develop libraries to become essential hubs for promoting information literacy, community engagement, and a source of quality resources. As the digital world continues to evolve, libraries require current information and communication technologies to keep pace with modern-day information generation. Within this context, it is necessary to equip librarians with critical information literacy skills, strategically expand credible and reliable digital collections, and build stronger connections with their users. This workshop explores strategies for improving access to information in digital libraries through community engagement, digital resource expansion, and providing Reliable Evidence-Based Resources for Digital Libraries.
The workshop held on October 17-18, 2024. Selected presentations will be accessible to the public via Zoom and Facebook Live.
