The Center for Khmer Studies (CKS) is pleased to announce that we have officially begun accepting applications for our 2023-2024 academic year Research Fellowship Programs.
All CKS Fellows are provided direct funding for their research, access to CKS resources, as well as in-country logistical support and contacts. The CKS library also provides free access to JSTOR for its Fellows.
Senior Fellowships
The CKS Senior Fellowships are open to US, Cambodian, and French scholars who already hold a PhD degree in the social sciences and the humanities who seek to pursue further research focusing on Cambodia alone or on Cambodia within a regional context. EU citizens holding a degree from a French university may also apply.
Dissertation Research Fellowships
The CKS Dissertation Research Fellowships are open to US, Cambodian, and French Ph.D. candidates in all disciplines in the social sciences and the humanities. EU citizens holding a degree from a French university may also apply.
Scholar-in-Residence Fellowships
The CKS Scholar-in-Residence Fellowship supports one postdoctoral scholar/ researcher to serve as the Scholar in Residence (SR) at CKS in Siem Reap for a period from 6 months to 1 year. Funding for this program comes from the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC). Only U.S. citizens may apply.
