Workshop on Academic Writing: Sentence – Paragraph Structures and Effective Use of Terms

About the Workshop

This workshop offers instruction on the basics of academic writing to Cambodian students and researchers. Participants will gain an understanding of the sentence structure and paragraph components used in academic writing. The workshop also covers common sentence problems and effective strategies for addressing those errors. In addition, attendees will learn how to use terms effectively in academic writing.

Speaker

Ms. Sivpheng Haing is a Lecturer in the Educational Studies Department of the Faculty of Education at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). She earned her Master of Education from the Charles Darwin University in Australia and Master of Educational Planning and Management from RUPP in Cambodia. She has many years of experience working in the education field, teaching, developing curriculum, and conducting research. Her research interests include early childhood education, teaching and learning, students’ affairs, curriculum development, and teaching methodology.
