How to Support CKS

Funding Priority: The CKS Library at Wat Damnak
Library Storage Annex, Book Acquisitions, Librarian Training
Donations to support the Library and its expansion will be acknowledged with a named seat. Also, bookplates bearing the name of the donor are affixed to books given directly to the Library or purchased with funds specially provided for that purpose.

Funding Priority: Cambodian Fellows
Through our Capacity Building Program, CKS trains and selects promising young Cambodian university faculty to further their academic training at major universities in South East Asia. Sponsor a junior faculty member and help them to continue their education. Fellowships will be named for donors.

Funding Priority: Sponsoring Translation of Essential Titles in Khmer
In the absence of essential books in the Cambodian language (Khmer), CKS is actively involved in both training young Cambodian translators and translating essential reference texts in the social sciences and humanities.  Our current priority project is the translation of Southeast Asia: An Introductory History by Milton Osborne.  We also encourage support for our tri-lingual (Khmer - English - French) Journal of the Center for Khmer Studies, Siksacakr.

Funding Priority: Supporting the Center’s Facilities in Phnom Penh
CKS seeks support to rent and operate a large house in Phnom Penh, the Cambodian capital, to serve both as a residence and a gathering place for its fellows from Cambodia and overseas.  This facility also houses our publishing and junior faculty training programs, in proximity to Phnom Penh’s universities.
