Undergraduate Southeast Asian Studies Program
CKS invites 4th year undergraduate students to participate in a Southeast Asian Studies Program. The program will run for 45 hours, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6-7 pm, starting November 1st 2010, at the CKS Phnom Penh office (address below). The main topics will include:
1. Conceptualizing Southeast Asia: What is Southeast Asia?
2. History of Southeast Asia: Pre-history, colonial history and modern history
3. Contemporary politics and socio-economic development in Southeast Asia
4. Core academic skills
A small group of students (30-40) will be selected through a competitive process. The student should be a 4th year undergraduate or a recent graduate with a GPA above 3.0 and who are interested in pursuing graduate studies in the future.
Students should submit a short CV, covering letter and academic record by email to Ms. SIM Puthea at (puthea_sim@khmerstudies.org) or in person to CKS Phnom Penh Office: #234 Street 450, Sangkat Toul Tumpung II, Khan Chamkamon, Phnom Penh.
The deadline for submission is October 20, 2010.

CKS is recruiting 4th year undergraduate students who wish to participate in a CKS Southeast Asian Studies Academic Program.
